Suya Night,
Any Night.

In Nigeria, suya is a night thing. You find the mai suya by the smoke and the smell before you find the stall — thin-sliced meat, hot off the grill, dusted in a spice mix perfected over generations.

That's the standard we hold ourselves to. Every skewer is hand-rolled in our own yaji — roasted peanut, ginger, garlic, cayenne — then grilled hard and fast so the outside chars while the inside stays juicy.

No pre-mixed seasoning from a packet, no shortcuts. Just the spice, the fire, and fresh onion and tomato to cut through the heat.

Our Story

Built On Yaji,
Not Shortcuts.

Suya isn't complicated. It's a handful of ingredients done properly — thin-cut meat, roasted groundnut, the right ratio of heat to depth, and a hot grill. Ken Suya exists because too many places cut corners on all four.

We roast and grind our own yaji in-house, in small batches, so it's always fresh — not sitting in a tub for weeks losing its punch. Every skewer gets rolled by hand, not dunked.

We built this to taste like the suya spot you'd queue for back home. If it's quick, it's not suya — so we don't rush it, we just get faster at doing it right.

How We Cook

On The Grill.

No shortcuts on either end. The meat gets thin-sliced and skewered by hand, the yaji gets roasted and ground in-house, and the grill runs hot the whole time service is on.

02. The Yaji Roasted peanut, ginger, garlic and cayenne, ground fresh — our own blend, not a shop-bought mix.
